Megamorphesis to be screened at UBC

I’m really pleased that Megamorphesis: The Hip Hop Quest for Enlightenment was chosen to be screened at the UBC Ethnographic film festival in January 2017.

Megamorphesis: A Hip Hop Quest for Enlightenment is a film about Cipher5, an inner city youth program that runs every week. Dre Pharoh and iD meet with young Edmonton hiphoppas at a local community centre. Together they make a knowledge cypher called Cipher5 where they work towards developing both skills and better selves. This is a film about one of those meetings. The film is about the way urban arts communities are developing responses to cultural sustainability and economic development. Cipher5, a hip hop teaching and learning circle, is one example of this practice.
